The Holy Covenant of

Our Lady of The Light

my mother dropped me

and as my feet touched the ground

I made a vow

to never put my faith

in human hands again

I slipped though the cracks

and fell into the night

and there

in the darkness

I beheld an angel of light

Her heavenly body

silent as a star

we kiss with open mouths

exchanging wedding vows:

"Darkness for Light

Sadness for Delight

Death for Everlasting Life"

and in the night

a shooting star

cuts the sky like a scar
